Guide Rendezvous and Down the Hatch fly fishing industry event in Missoula, Montana April 24th – 25th

For the past 27 years, Orvis has held a Guides’ Rendezvous, where Orvis-endorsed guides network and compare notes, as well as attend and participate in seminars on habitat protection, CPR, boat and vehicle safety, casting workshops, and many other topics.  Missoula has a strong fly-fishing culture, it’s a college town, and of course is the setting for the iconic novel and movie “A River Runs through It.”  This year all professional guides, Orvis-endorsed or not, are welcome to attend the seminars and Guide Olympics.

I was nonored as a guest from ORVIS and recognized an inaugural “Breaking Barriers” award in front of 500 industry peers in Missoula last week and received an standing ovation at the event.  Amongst the crowd were fly fishing lodges, outfitters, shops, guides, and owners. Many thank you’s to ORVIS and family and friends whom are alla round me in this journey I set fourth.

Most importnat is my partners and sponsors who started with me on this journey. It took you guys to belive and to support Soul River. Thank you to US Fish and Wildlife, LOOP, City of Vancouver, Intertwine and SR Ambassadors.
