Sunday Flytying @ Soul River

This past Sunday at Soul River Inc. was awesome! Kicked it with Shane Wootan  CEO of LOOP and his wife Sarah and end the day at the soul river space teaching youth  and mom and dads how to tie their first fly in a fly tying class “Woolybugger”. Thanks to US Fish & Wildlife and Services and LOOP for making things happen within Soul River connecting youth and veterans to the outdoors through fly fishing.

Tight Lines,

Here out of the NorthWest comes a fly tier Born with a fishing gene, a transplant to the Pacific Northwest, and addicted to anadromous fish, An Ren is always on a quest to tie effective, yet beautiful flies that entice fish to bite. As comfortable on a steelhead river as he is on the front of a flats boat, An Ren enjoys all aspects of fly-fishing. His easy-going attitude and positive outlook have enabled him to share his passion with his friends and family. Honored to have An Ren flies in our space at Soul River and available online! These flies are mixed from traditional style balanced with An Ren personal modern approach custom tied fly. Tied by an artist/angler hands leads him into his own realm of tying these wonderful impressionistic creative flies by an angler/artist where passion of fly fishing on many rivers has served him and channel into an artist turning a bare hook into an artful masterpiece.  Thank you An Ren for your wonderful flies and if anybody has the time and is visiting Portland, Oregon  please come by and visit us at the store where you can view his flies up close and personal!
